Early detection of neurodegenerative diseases

Monitoring of core body temperature using heat flux sensors is also playing an important role in research.

Core Body Temperature monitor has been successfully employed in a Swiss-based research project for early detection of Alzheimer and Parkinson diseases

Background

Current studies show that changes in core body temperature can be an indicator in the early detection of neurodegenerative diseases. Since 2019, greenteg has been collaborating with the Bern University Hospital’s Sleep-Wake-Epilepsy-Center and Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW), using calera® sensor technology for research into early detection of Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease.

Solution

The calera® monitor can be deployed as a compact wearable – in combination with a chest strap, smartwatch or medical monitor patch, for example. The wearable is comfortable enough to wear during sports, at work or even at night.

As a white-label product, the monitor has a wide range of applications and sector-specific solutions for app functions.

greenteg supports device manufacturers in specific OEM integrations of calera® technology in medical applications.
