H2020 Seal of Excellence 2019

news

A remarkable achievement | We are thrilled to announce that greenteg has been awarded the Horizon 2020 Seal of Excellence, issued by the Executive Commission for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, a body of the European Commission. This seal recognizes greenteg’s expertise and knowledge on the field of thermal sensing and its commercial applications and opens the door for further funding from EU programs.

greenteg received the seal this month, after applying for the Horizon 2020 program, the biggest EU funded program for research and innovation. greenteg applied with the project “Integration of Heat flux sensor in (wrist) wearable devices for accurate and non-invasive, continuous monitoring of core body temperature (CBT) for the early detection of health-related disorders”. As a matter of fact, CBT is the latest business unit within greenteg, and it has great potential in terms of growth and profitability.

greenteg’s application was scored as a high-quality project proposal by an international panel of experts, who decided that it should be in the top ranks of a highly competitive evaluation process. This evaluation has three main criteria: excellence, quality, and efficiency in implementation. The project ranked above the threshold scoring in all these criteria, hence the seal of excellence was awarded.

At greenteg, we are honored with this award. It confirms the quality of our work and encourages us to keep up the good work and continue researching and building the next generation of thermal sensors applications for CBT.

About the Seal of Excellence

The Seal of Excellence is “a quality label awarded by the Commission to proposals which has been assessed in a call for proposals under a Union instrument and are deemed to comply with the quality requirements of that Union instrument but could not be funded due to budgetary constraints. These projects are judged to deserve funding and might receive support from other Union or national sources of funding.“
